We were delighted to receive 30 teddy bears from Stanley Park #Optimists last week! Like our mini-Monet stuffed dogs (also pictured), the value of these #stuffies for children is immeasurable. 

Being a young victim or witness of abuse or crime is traumatic enough, never-mind going through our justice system – which is often intimidating and overwhelming even for adults. These stuffed animals help these kids by:

* Enhancing their sense of safety and security, over intense feelings of fear and anxiety. 

* Fostering a sense of autonomy, by having something special to care for and look after. 

* Providing comfort between appointments, and in the transition from court to everyday life. 

* Rob Graham delivered the bears on behalf of his club last Thursday. Our Operations and Development Assistant, Sahver, was pleased to receive them on behalf of our team.
