With some of the $40,000 in proceeds generated from the sale of chocolates by participants in the Ball Program in the 1993/94 era, the Club paid for the installation of 3 ball diamonds: two at the (now former) Notre Dame School and one at Smithson School that is still in use today. The funding also covered a new stonedust infield for the diamond at Sheppard Public School and a new backstop at Sunnyside Public School's diamond.
With assistance from a grant from the Kitchener Sports Association (KSA), 3 new Junior T-Ball backstops were installed in 2017 at Franklin and Midland Parks. Subsequently, with financial help from KSA, another backstop was added at Franklin and the 3 existing ones were made slightly wider. The end result was that 4 more games could be scheduled during each playing time in the Program's focus area of Franklin/Midland Park. Much, much better for everyone involved!
Each year's Ball season ended with a wrap-up celebration for each team. For many years it was Hot-Dog Day!
Over the past 40+ years, the Club has assisted youth & the local community in many ways.
Youth programs are more successful with positive support from parents & guardians. Let's all enjoy the games!
