The Optimist Club of Stanley Park often held an event in the fall referred to as the Fishing Challenge. Local physically challenged citizens were treated to a fishing outing at a well-stocked pond, enjoyed a picnic lunch and received some souvenirs. Optimist Club members acted as hosts, fishing guides, and ensured that all participants had a really good time!
