In 2024; the Club contributed $25,000 towards the cost of new playground equipment at Smithson School.  Optimist Secretary Joe Watson is shown at the ribbon cutting ceremony held on Oct. 16, 2025. The other photo is of the "official" cheque presentation ceremony that was taken in the school lobby.

In 2023, the new St Patrick Catholic Elementary School received a $2,000 grant from the Club for the supply and installation of a GagaBall Pit complete with balls.

In the 1993/94 era, the sale of chocolate bars by participants in the Stanley Park Optimist Ball Program provided funding for playground structures at St. Daniels School, and Borden Ave. and volleyball courts at Franklin School and the former Notre Dame School.
