Baseball Helmets

Helmets: Wear an approved*, properly-sized helmet

A helmet cannot properly protect your head from potential injury if it is not the right size. Also, if you wear a well-fitting helmet, you can concentrate on your game and play better because you don’t have to constantly make adjustments to the position of your helmet.

*Note: most leagues now require all batters, and base-runners, to wear a helmet complete with face protection. Be sure to confirm the league's specific safety certification and type of face protection requirements.

Safety note: The helmets have a lifespan of approximately 10 years; less if subjected to freeze/thaw storage conditions. Do not use if chipped or cracked. No stickers or accessories can be attached to the helmet other than the approved face protection and chin strap. All connections must be tight and secure. The helmet is to provide protection so must be worn properly.

Face protection for infielders: Many leagues mandate that infielders, especially pitchers, wear face protection equipment.
